Marisa Johnson

Marisa Johnson

Marisa began her love of Pilates in high school, when she began to cross train for ballet. She had hyper-mobile joints and was extremely prone to injury, but noticed right away how much Pilates strengthened her core and reduced not only her number of injuries, but her overall pain. She hopes to help her clients find the same pain relief and increase in strength as she experienced. Marisa graduated from Colorado State University in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and completed her Pilates training at the same time through the Pilates Sports Center. This training integrates current knowledge and principals about anatomy into Classical Pilates work, which creates a very safe approach to Pilates by emphasizing proper alignment. Marisa enjoys seeing the progress in her clients as they gain strength and knowledge of their own bodies, and how their work is translated outside of class.
